Grow Your Own: Berry Pruning and Maintenance in Craftsbury
Description
Brown's Beautiful Blueberries in Craftsbury will be the scene of a Grow Your Own workshop about berry care and pruning on April 13. Zach Leonard of High Hopes Orchard in Westfield is a Vermont Certified Horticulturist and has 20 years of experience planting, pruning, and maintaining berry plants and orchards (both his own and others around the state.) He is passionate about growing fruit ecologically and believes that high quality fruit and nuts can and should be grown in every yard, farmstead, and community space without the use of toxic chemicals. There will be an open Q&A session. Please come prepared to engage and ask questions - we look forward to seeing you there! Zach's website is for background on Zach and some lovely photos. http://www.highhopesorchards.com/about-us.html This workshop is open to all (including kids) but we ask that you pre-register by April 11 as space is limited.
